Admission Requirements

The Arizona College of Nursing-Phoenix (ACN-P) is a private nursing school located in Phoenix, Arizona. ACN-P is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The nursing program at ACN-P is approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.

ACN-P offers two tracks for the nursing program: the traditional BSN track and the RN-to-BSN track. The traditional BSN track is a four-year program that leads to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. The RN-to-BSN track is a two-year program for registered nurses (RNs) who already have an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a diploma in nursing.

The admission requirements for the traditional BSN track are:

* A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale

* A minimum GPA of 2.75 in all prerequisite courses

* Completion of all prerequisite courses with a "C" or better

* Submission of a completed application, including all required documents

The admission requirements for the RN-to-BSN track are:

* A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale

* A minimum GPA of 2.75 in all prerequisite courses

* Completion of all prerequisite courses with a "C" or better

* An active, unencumbered RN license

* Submission of a completed application, including all required documents

ACN-P also offers an accelerated BSN track for students who already have a bachelor's degree in another field. The admission requirements for the accelerated BSN track are:

* A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

* A minimum GPA of 3.0 in all prerequisite courses

* Completion of all prerequisite courses with a "C" or better

* Submission of a completed application, including all required documents

Once students are admitted to the nursing program, they are required to complete a criminal background check and drug screen. Students who do not pass the background check or drug screen will not be allowed to continue in the nursing program.
